Colors! For the iPod Touch?

Journal Entry: Tue Oct 27, 2009, 1:24 PM
Has anyone used Colors! on the ipod touch? ...specifically with a stylus? Any word on how it compares to running it on the DS Lite?

I need to know whether I need this desperately or not... :D

EDIT: Nevermind. Just found the stylus for these. I think it would be like drawing with a dull crayon. We all know how that is.

Looks like I'm sticking to the DS version of Colors! a while longer. :)

To Scrap Or Not To Scrap

Journal Entry: Sat Oct 3, 2009, 2:09 PM
Alright...I need some thoughts & feedback here...

As you probably know, I've been doing a ton of speedpainting and sketching lately, along with several more polished pieces.

Sometimes it's pretty obvious that something should go directly to scraps (do not pass go, do not collect...well, you know the rest), whereas finished/polished paintings [or sculpts, etc] obviously belong in the deviations category.

All well and good...but what of speedpaintings? The beauty of those, at least in my mind, *is* their roughness, and the fact that they complete an idea with minimal brush strokes [that is to say, "work"]. If they're successful (I realize very often they aren't :) ), I feel like those belong in the deviations folder along with the polished pieces.

I've been feeling pretty eclectic lately too...trying different things from the usual, for better or worse. Sometimes it makes it hard to decide which folder those go in.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts (or rants, if you've got 'em...I'm sure I've ticked some people off with my posting of late!)

The Tree Eaters

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 27, 2009, 11:54 AM
...animation/animatic piece...

Firstly, I could have sworn I'd put this on youtube before. "The Tree Eaters" is my college senior capstone (thesis), dealing with the idea of freedom, and how once given up it's very difficult to regain.

I'm submitting it as a film to DA (or at least, to be reviewed and hopefully accepted...) Might just try and post it as a flash video or something. For now though, youtube! (CLICKCLICK!)

As I said, *animatic*, not full-on animation, though parts of it certainly are animated.

All the art, editing, storyboarding, character design blah blah was done by me. The excellent soundtrack was done by my friend ~Utomato (who, by the way, would likely be interested in doing YOUR soundtrack stuff for the right amount of chee$e... ;) )

Enjoy!
