This was one of those spontaneous ideas that popped into my head. No backstory or anything...all I know is that the idea came while reading the Wheel of Time series (book 8 to be exact). It was essentially a feeling-turned-visual. It interested me...so I drew it.
Anyway, Painter 7 + Photoshop, single layer, no reference used. Edit: So I NEVER go back and change stuff...but I made an exception for this piece. Her face has always bugged me. I'm not sure it's perfect, but as usual I'm open to critique/suggestions. I'm updating the print as well. Thanks for looking! Comments
IT'S GORGEOUS!!! I don't see why someone wouldn't like it, unless they're just crazy!...It's looks like a knight that my sister would read about..And instant favorite!
Oh, and the horse is as beautiful as the girl... -- If the truth will set you free, then why am I still here? -- I'm sorry for anything I spell wrong or hurt your feelings on... -- [link] He's a lovely guy who writes just as lovely... Great work!
I like the details you put in it..like the hair of the hours (and thats sound stupid) I also like the earty tones you used...all around a perfect painting! I'm impressed! -- I dont scribble! I do lines with style! [link] Beautiful work on the horse especially. I'd nitpick a few small details, which I'm probably wrong about, but since you didn't use a reference, then it's hardly worth the breath. The hair is excellent and I have to say that your work on the eyes is well done and adds much to the compelling aspects of this image. The light embroidery details on the outfit are really a nice touch.
-- ---------------- Memorial Trees - Treemember - Plant a Tree I'm loving the details on the horse.
