I started this piece over a year ago and only recently got around to re-opening it and finishing it.
The idea behind this was that the youth in the scene is undertaking a rite of passage, being sent out into the wastelands to prove he can survive a month in spite of the odds. In order to do so, he killed the giant lizard to mask his scent and provide shelter from larger predators. (Maybe I overthink these things, yeah? haha.) Painter 8, Photoshop CS.  Great work! (as always) It's beautiful that the other skull is there, it gives this scene a sense of history and depth - like other young men have done this before. that is fantastic krazy!

  -- Take me back to yesterday, Rollin' dice and getting laid, Everything was A Ok.  That is one fantastic looking picture. The feeling I get from it is warm, you captured the wasteland/desert scene just perfectly.
I also enjoy the story about the picture, no need to worry about overthinking the piece cuz it makes it even more brilliant and interesting. Good job |
