I started this piece over a year ago and only recently got around to re-opening it and finishing it.
The idea behind this was that the youth in the scene is undertaking a rite of passage, being sent out into the wastelands to prove he can survive a month in spite of the odds. In order to do so, he killed the giant lizard to mask his scent and provide shelter from larger predators. (Maybe I overthink these things, yeah? haha.) Painter 8, Photoshop CS. No clue how many hours...but certainly well over 30. Thanks for lookin'! Daily DeviationGiven 2005-07-07Have you ever thought about this kind of Shelter?
