I felt like criticising this painting because it is totally different from the other ones in your gallery. You obviously tried something new, only working with hard edged brushes and no opacity. It's a very quick way to scetch, but also very effective.
What I like about it is the mysterious mood you're creating by showing only the shape of the Forest Lord - he appears intimidating and that's what a Forest Lord should do. The light is coming only from the right and creates long shadows, a very damatic effect. He seems like he stepped from behind a tree right this second and his glare indicates that intruders may not be welcome (though it looks a bit like he has holes instead of eyes).
The sweetest thing ever is this little deer in the right corner, the first time I saw this picture I didn't notice it at all. The viewer can only see the highlighted areas of it, but the shape is so clear one simply cannot mistake it. Very well done!
I'm not sure about the proportions. Was your intention to make the Forest Lord actually larger-than-life? Or is the miniature deer his toy? I'm also not sure about the face, to me it seems a bit long. But then again a mystic creature like that doesn't always have normal proportions.
All in all I like this sketch very much because it's original and demonstrates a different way to approach a topic. Well done!
